  • BEN SALLAS IS 74 YRS OLD AND GOES LIKE A PINK BUNNY EVERY DAY. HE GETS UP WAY EARLY WHEN SCHOOL IS IN SESSION, AND STAYS WITHHIS 2 GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER TILL TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL. HE GETS THEM IN AFTERNOON
  • I nominate the Habitat for Humanity "Tuesday crew" as a KLTV EVERYDAY HERO (S). This group of six men--Craig Daniel, Jim Durnil, Jesse Fears, Carl Jeter, John Mattson and John Childress--have been diligent
  • My nomination for an Everyday Hero is Billy George Vaticalos of Longview.
  • I would like to nominate Alice Prince, nurse's aide at Truman Smith Children's Care Center in Gladewater as an everyday hero.

  • I would like to nominate Alison Ganske as, not just an everyday hero, but as an extraordinary hero!
  • I would like to nominate Ed King, owner of Tyler Area Chick Fil A's. Mr. King has a kind and loving spirit. His philosophy on giving back to his community makes him a very special individual.
  • This is for my warm hearted fiance, Derek Kastning. He has so much carisma, personality, and has the biggest heart.
  • I am nominating my son John Hale and his wife Jenny as everyday heroes! They have taken on the role of loving and caring for 3 precious little girls that they took on as foster children.
  • This is about my husband of 24 years. He is the most amazing, inspiring hard working man I have ever known. We met one Friday evening on the Town square.  The cutest guy with his rugged good looks and aurburn red hair driving the nicest car a Trans AM parked next to me, and asked if he could talk to me. .Sure, I said, We talked and laughed like we had know each other all our lives.
  • I would like to nominate Judie Moffett Judy is a truly amazing person. Judy is a paraplegic resulting from a car accident 14 years ago. Instead of giving up she has become a breath of fresh air for so many people both disabled & able bodied.
  • I shop at Brookshire's on Rice Rd. There is a young lady who cashiers there named Jennah Rose and she is the epitome of East Texas Everyday Heroes. I go out of my way to wait in her line.
  • I would like to nominate Mrs. Tabitha for our home town hero. She owns Silly City Daycare in Chandler and for her and our children, it's not a daycare, it's an extension of family. I admire Mrs. Tabitha for everything she stands for. She is a mother of 7, two of whom are special needs children.
  • I would like to nominate Dale and Roger Sage of Longview, Texas for all of the volunteer work they have done to improve children's lives and the lives of the mentally handicapped adults of Longview.
  • Anne DeLaet is my latest hero.  She is a retired English professor and is a true patriot.  She loves our country so much that she has started a group called Welcome Home Soldiers.
  • I would like to tell you about my Hero (or my Angel).  I would like to nominate my neighbor-Cathy Schultz.  Every time my husband is having a seizure or stroke all I can do is call Cathy.
