A little girl from Central America is in Longview looking for a medical miracle.
Bright, energetic and always smiling, 13-year-old Karla Zapeta has traveled from her native Guatemala for a special surgery.
Karla was born with club foot, and needs corrective surgery to walk normally. She will receive free surgery through Scottish Rite hospitals, with as many as eight surgeries needed.
Karla is a typical teen, speaking through an interpreter she tells us she just wants to be like everyone else. Karla is scheduled for her first surgery in Longview on November 13th.
