HALLSVILLE, TX (KLTV) - 22 horses have been rescued and their owner is charged with animal cruelty.
Debra Jean Morris was arrested Tuesday morning on animal cruelty charges at her home in the 700 block of Appaloosa Lane in Hallsville near I-20.
The horses were taken to quarantine and will remain there for ten days. Morris was booked in the Harrison County jail.
KLTV 7's Lakecia Shockley will be taking you to the rescue scene tonight at 6 as Safe Haven Equine Rescue rounded up the starving horses.
