Jacksonville Gives Key To City To Dog

A special award tonight for East Texas' favorite four-legged TV star.

Jacksonville gave the key to the city to Bill McFarlin and Star, the stars of TV's "Greatest American Dog." They held a watch party tonight at Coffee Connection for dozens of fans, who got to see Bill and Star survive another round of the reality show.

Bill said it's an honor to have so many East Texans rooting for them.

"East Texas is just a great place to live," Bill said. "Everybody just takes hold and helps out, so this is typical East Texas."

"I'm kind of overwhelmed by the friendships that we've gained and the people who've come to see my orange dog. It's quite humbling."

Bill and Star not only survived the round, they also won a call from home, where Bill got to talk to his wife Sherrie.
