Aviation History Celebrated At Air Show

The history of aviation was celebrated, Saturday at the old Tyler Pounds Airport.  There were lots of military, civilian and war bird aircraft on display for the public to see.  It was all there for the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum's grand opening.  The museum is located at the Old Tyler Pounds Airport Terminal.  There were all kinds of aircrafts on display at the air show for many to enjoy, especially veterans.

"You see people going deep in thought, you see guys with the years dropping away; their youth comes back to them," said Rick Harris with the Collings Foundation.  "I've seen guys walk around with goose bumps on their arms.  It's all kinds of a range of emotions, depending on what kind of experience theirs was with the aircraft."  The museum officially made its move to this new location last summer.  It's open Tuesday through Sunday.
