A Florida deputy is in hot water after arresting a woman who was on her way to the hospital where her father was having a heart attack.
The driver, Melissa Langston of Tampa, was initially pulled over for speeding. She told the deputy she needed to get to the hospital, but the deputy ignored her claim and went to write a ticket. After waiting on him for more than three minutes, Langston pulled into the hospital parking lot and a short chase ensued.
Watch the video to see and hear the conversation between the two and the subsequent arrest.
In an internal investigation, the Florida deputy said he did not believe the woman's story, but it turned out to be true.
The deputy was suspended for five days, but was not fired. The sheriff's department says he's a good deputy, who made a very bad choice.
