An East Texas company has been awarded a government contract to build battlefield simulators. U.S. Senators, John Cornyn and Kay Bailey-Hutchison announced today that Titan Dynamics in Marshall has earned the contract to build army battlefield effects simulators.
The simulators train soldiers and Marines to fire rounds from launchers by firing pyrotechnic cartridges that mimic flash, smoke and sound of real shells. The contract is worth 11-million dollars initially and a projected 500-million dollars in business over the next five years.
