Posted: Updated:

TYLER, TEXAS (KLTV) - In an exclusive interview, Dennis Pittman, the seventh Mineola child sex ring defendant, told KLTV 7 that his lawyer told him about his co-defendants' plea deals.

Sheila Sones was the first to be released from jail, after she and five other defendants pleaded guilty to one charge of injury to a child, last month: Shauntel Mayo, Jamie Pittman, Jimmy Sones, Rebecca Pittman, and Patrick Kelly.

Kelly, Rebecca Pittman and Jamie Pittman were released from the Smith County Jail, Friday evening. Meanwhile, in a letter to KLTV, Dennis Pittman, called the plea agreements, "unfair."

We were able to set up an interview with Pittman, as he sits inside the Smith County Jail, waiting to be transported to a Texas state prison. A jury found him guilty of engaging in organized criminal activity and aggravated sexual of a child, last July.

His case remains on appeal, but he maintains his innocence.
