Brett Collar is KLTV's Weekend Meteorologist and is excited to join the East Texas News Leader. Brett joined the KLTV News Team in March 2011.
Brett graduated from Central Michigan University in May of 2010 with a Bachelor's of Science in Meteorology. While there, he was the Weather Anchor for MHTV News Central 34 for two years, and a reporter for one semester. Brett also interned at WJBK Fox 2 in Detroit, MI working under Chief Meteorologist Rich Luterman.
Aside from weather, Brett enjoys HOCKEY, golf, playing the guitar, TV and watching movies. Brett is excited to be in Tyler but is still and will always be a Red Wings fan. Brett says he does cheer on the Stars…..as long as they are not playing Detroit!
