LIFE SENTENCE:PAINESVILLE, OH (WOIO) - Judgment day for the mother who was found guilty of poisoning her baby girl with lethal doses of lead.
Erin Hendrix, a former science and physics teacher at Bellaire High School, was accused of administering lethal doses of lead to her daughter between February 19th, 2008 and July 27, 2009 in Belmont County and in Lake County.
Her daughter, Hannah, was aged five months to 22 months. The little girl survived.
A jury found Hendrix not guilty of attempted murder, but found her guilty of felonious assault, child endangerment and complicity to attempted aggravated murder.
On Tuesday, Hendrix sentenced to life with no parole eligibility for 15 years.
Little Hannah is now three-years-old and is currently in foster care.
