Winter storm warning in effect for parts of East Texas

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A fast moving upper level storm system is moving through South-Central Texas this evening. The main event is still scheduled to move into the area after midnight tonight as snow will be falling across much of the area. A winter storm warning is in effect for our extreme southern counties and a winter weather advisory is in effect for all areas south of I-20 and along HWY 69, north of Tyler. Right now it appears 1"-3" of snow could fall south of an Athens Tyler Longview and Marshall line with up to 4 inches along a Lufkin Nacogdoches Center line. Stay tuned for the latest. The Winter Storm Warning is along and south of a line from Crockett to Nacogdoches to Monroe, La.
