NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a Jacksonville man Tuesday night who allegedly fired a gun in the parking lot of a nightclub.

Jesse Lee Mims, 23, is charged with deadly conduct, unlawful carrying of a weapon and public intoxication.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said deputies responded to a call of shots fired at 11:15 p.m. at Salty Dogs, located on FM 225. When they arrived, they found Mims in a vehicle with a handgun and shell casings on the ground, Kerss said.

Kerss said Mims was not licensed to carry the weapon and was intoxicated. Deputies booked him into the Nacogdoches County Jail early Wednesday.
