TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Smith County deputies have arrested a man they say is responsible for stealing hundreds of batteries from multiple East Texas businesses.

Christopher Elroy Sims, 30, of Crockett was arrested in an undercover operation.

Two weeks ago the Cart Shed on Highway 69, south of Tyler had 70 batteries stolen, their value totaling around $3,000. Click here to learn more about the theft.
