GRAND SALINE, TX (KLTV) - The suspected driver of the getaway car in the robbery of Mineola Community Bank in Grand Saline has been arrested.
Police say Jay McEvers admitted to driving the robbery suspect to the Dallas area. They also say McEvers had money falling out of his pockets, when he was taken into custody. The bank robbery suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Carl Ray Davis. Again, it's believed he may now be in the Dallas area.
The robbery took place Monday morning when a man with a handgun took some cash from the Mineola Community Bank in Grand Saline. The robber was wearing a blue sweat suit and a mask. The robbery happened just 20 minutes after a bomb threat was called in at Grand Saline High School. Police say the robber may have been picked up in a green or blue Buick.
