So, what are you supposed to wear to the church I'm talking about?
Well...nothing. And, I mean...nothing. At least, that's what it says on the web site for the Calvary Nudist Baptist Church.
On the web site, it lists the church's address as 3420 Kilgore Road in Tyler. But, that address doesn't exist. We drove down Old Kilgore Highway for several miles and didn't see the building.
Anyway, the web site tells its members not to disrobe in the parking lot, but to wait until they get into the foyer.
It even has scripture from the books of Genesis and Mark that it says support its form of worship.
Dr. Fred Smith, the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Tyler says that he has had to tell quite a few people that his church and the one on the web site are not the same.
"Every day of the week, folks have been calling wondering if we're the nudist church that's here in Tyler, Texas. And, our answer is no, absolutely not," said Dr. Smith. "We are not the nudist church."
"When I first heard about it, I laughed. I thought it was funny. But, the more I thought about it, I was actually offended by it, and I actually got angry."
Dr. Smith says that most people have called because they were upset that the church could exist, but he thinks it's a hoax. Also, we sent several emails to the address on the site, but haven't heard back from anyone.
As far as the mysterious building pictured in on the web site goes, we couldn't find it.
So, we need people to help us out. If you've seen the church, or know where it is, tell us in the comments section below.
