Former Centenary coach named Texas State assistant

SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) - Former Centenary coach Rob Flaska has been hired as an assistant basketball coach at Texas State.

Texas State announced the hiring Monday.

Flaska most recently had been an assistant at Texas Southern. He coached at Centenary for three years before his contract was not renewed in April 2008. Flaska also previously was an assistant at Arkansas and TCU and a head coach at Mott College.

Texas State coach Doug Davalos said Flaska brings a wealth of experience to the position.
