Well, East Texas, the weekend is finally here. Weather conditions are expected to be pretty much the same for Saturday and Sunday. Partly Cloudy Skies with a 20-30% chance for afternoon and evening showers and/or thundershowers each day with highs in the middle 90s and light wind out of the south.
Monday, the day of the partial Solar Eclipse, should be partly cloudy with just a 20% chance for scattered afternoon and evening showers and/or thundershowers, highs in the mid 90s once again. The eclipse begins at 11:43 in the morning, peaks at 1:14 in the afternoon and ends at 2:43. There will be some clouds in the area, for sure, but we are expecting enough breaks in the clouds that we should be able to experience this event from time to time during this 3 hour period. Fingers Crossed.
As we head into the end of next week, it appears that another summer cold front may move into the northern areas of East Texas, increasing the rain chances (40%) both Thursday and Friday and cooling high temperatures off to near 90 degrees. We will update you on this over the coming days.
Have a great weekend, East Texas.
