Mostly cloudy skies will begin to take over tonight. That ridge of high pressure that brought sunny skies Saturday, will keep us dry through Sunday morning. Lows will fall into the upper 50s by the early morning hours Sunday, with winds from the southeast around 5mph.

A low pressure system, building over Baja California today, will continue to move closer to the Lone Star State overnight. This low will make its way into West Texas Sunday morning. Winds will shift because of this low, from the southwest. This will bring moisture into the area. Moisture combined with an area of low pressure and a cold front, will start to bring a chance for isolated showers and storms Sunday afternoon. This slight chance for showers and storms will start to pick up as we head into Sunday evening/overnight.

The best chance for these storms will be on Monday, as the low pressure and the cold front make their way into East Texas Monday afternoon/evening. We'll even have a slight chance for severe thunderstorms, with the major threat being large hail and damaging winds.

The cold front won't affect our temperatures too much, just a few degrees by Tuesday. We'll fall into the upper 70s.

By Tuesday, a ridge of high pressure will build over the region, bringing sunny skies through Wednesday. Highs warm back into the low 80s by Wednesday.

Keep those umbrellas handy! Another area of low pressure will bring a cold front through East Texas by late week. We'll see another chance for showers and storms Thursday through Friday evening. Highs will stay in the low 80s through the end of the week.

Skies will clear once again as we head into next weekend.
