Kaufman County remains the only county under a Burn Ban at this time.
Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies along with a very muggy feel to the air will continue through the rest of the night...especially over the southern 1/2 of East Texas, or for those of you that got the rain today, it will be a very humid night, for sure.
Rain chances will continue to diminish through the next few days and most should stay over Deep East Texas as High Pressure begins to build over the South Central sections of the country. With this high building in, temperatures are expected to slowly rise as well with most of us looking at middle to upper 90s through early next week, at least.
So, we are not expecting much rain and we are certainly expecting hotter temperatures over the next 7 days. Temperature-Humidity index values are likely to be from 101-110 degrees during the heat of the day. Please be safe out there. Take plenty of breaks, hydrate yourself and make sure you friends are doing the same, and get into the shade or A/C as often as you can. Listen to your body. Stay Cool.
