As was the case yesterday, scattered showers and a few thundershowers will be possible, mainly over the southern 1/2 of East Texas. We will see this happen again tomorrow and Thursday with slightly better chances for the PM rain on Thursday, but only slightly.
Above normal temperatures will be the rule through the next 7 days with lows in the lower to middle 70s and highs in the lower 90s, with a few days in the upper 80s.
Major Hurricane Maria (Cat 5) continues to track toward Puerto Rico. A landfall is likely early on Wednesday morning over the Eastern portion of the island. Winds from 145-155 will be possible through much of the day on Wednesday with rainfall totals from 12-20 inches. The U.S. Virgin Island will likely see devastatingly strong winds and very heavy rainfall as well. Please pray for all of those in the path of Maria. Hurricane Jose could be about 130 miles offshore of Cape Cod, Massachusetts on Wednesday afternoon, bringing gusty winds and rough seas along the New England Coastline.
