Most areas got a chance to dry out on Memorial Day as the rain shower activity was spotty at best.
Our weather pattern will remain rather unsettled this week, which means we have a chance for rain every single day in your First Alert forecast. This does not mean it will rain at your place everyday. It just means someone in East Texas is bound to see some scattered downpours as a stalled out front interacts with all this warmth and humidity to generate some of these rain showers and thunderstorms each afternoon.
With the added cloud cover and shower activity sticking around, we will have daytime highs in the 80's rather than the 90's.
Rain and storm chances then ramp up just a bit more this weekend as yet another late season cold front heads in our direction. If it can make it through all of East Texas, we may get rewarded with a slight drop in the humidity levels by early next week.
