East Texas (KLTV) - Here is the Weather Where You Live... A First Alert Weather Day is in effect for Wednesday Night through early Thursday morning. Strong to severe thunderstorms are, once again, expected to make their way through East Texas overnight Wednesday and into Thursday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has continued an ENHANCED Risk for strong to severe storms over the northern and northwestern sections of East Texas, especially for late Wednesday/early Thursday as the cold front moves in. This does include the Tyler/Longview/Jacksonville area and all points NW of there. This means there is a 30% chance for significant severe weather in this area. Please see the area in the graphic. Strong to severe storms are expected during the overnight hours and into the pre-dawn hours. Showers and thundershowers may continue after that, but they are not expected to be severe. The risks this time... Tornado and Flash Flooding will be low, but the flash flooding threat will be somewhat higher along the far eastern sections of East Texas. Strong winds and Large hail will be the greatest threats during the upcoming storms. Please remain Weather Alert! We will get through this together. Friday through Sunday look wonderful. Mild mornings and warm afternoons are expected. No rain is in the forecast until MAYBE Monday of next week. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter!!!
