LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Longview firefighters battled a house fire believed to have been started by lightning at a three-story home on Holly Ridge Drive Saturday morning.
No one was injured in the fire, according to a press release on the City of Longview website.
According to the press release, Longview firefighters responded to the blaze at a 38707 Holly Ridge Drive at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
“When crews arrived one scene, they found a three-story house with fire showing from the roof,” the press release stated. “Crews were able to bring the fire under control with most of the fire damage being contained to the third floor, roof, and the attic.”
The rest of the house suffered smoke and water damage, the press release stated.
The fire was caused by lightning, the press release stated.
