LUBBOCK, TX (KLTV) - Tuesday brought two very different results for the Trinity Valley basketball program.
As a 15 seed, the women started their run in the NJCAA Tournament taking on the 19 seed South Georgia State. Janaya Walker took command of the game, scoring 22 points for the lady cards. They roll through their first round game with a 73-48 victory. They move on to take on Shelton State Wednesday at 4 pm.
The Trinity Valley men took on South Plains tonight. Unfortunately, they came up short, losing 82-75. They close out the season as region fourteen champions with their fifth national tournament appearance in six years.
