Smith County firefighters rescue family’s dogs from burning trailer

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Smith County firefighters were able to save a family’s pets from a burning trailer Tuesday morning.

According to Smith County Fire Marshal’s Office, the fire appeared to be in the kitchen.

There were six residents and three dogs, Deuce, Rocky and Baby inside the trailer. All were able to make it out safely.

A firefighter was seen carrying Deuce from the burning trailer, and administering oxygen to him. He is expected to be okay.

The extent of the damage to the trailer is not known yet. Fire crews remain on the scene investigating.
