EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Good morning, East Texas! Here’s the weather where you live: A few showers in southern counties of Deep East Texas early this morning, then clearing skies from north to south as the cold front moves in. Temperatures will drop quickly behind the front with low temperatures in the 40s this morning and warming into the 50s this afternoon. North and northwest winds behind the front will gust to 20-25 mph at times, but should begin to diminish this evening. More sunshine on the way for tomorrow with a chilly start in the 30s, but a nice mild afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 60s. Clouds begin to return on Thursday for Valentine’s Day, but that won’t hinder the warming trend as afternoon high temperatures will reach the lower 70s. A weak front early Friday morning will drop temperatures heading into the weekend, but only by a few degrees. Another cold front late weekend will bring a slight chance for rain and another drop in those temperatures by early next week.
