Evening Weather At Your Fingertips

East Texas (KLTV) - Here is the Weather Where You Live... Some early morning sun along with very chilly temperatures has given way to a mostly cloudy to cloudy skies. We are likely to see these mostly cloudy skies through early Thursday morning when the next cold front moves through. This front is from the Pacific and will not have much cool air with it. Just a tad felt on Friday morning, but that is it. A few scattered showers are possible late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. Brief sunshine returns on Thursday before another cold front makes its way into and through ETX very, very quickly on Saturday morning. Scattered showers and a few thundershowers will be possible with this front but the most important part of this system is the cold air behind it. Some of the coldest air of the winter season is likely. Lows in the middle 20s, gusty NW winds at 20-30 mph and wind chill values in the teens for many hours overnight Saturday, into Sunday morning. Okay...even more important is that the precipitation will be over before the coldest air arrives, so no wintry precip is expected and the wind will dry the roadways before it gets too cold. A warming trend begins on Monday afternoon. For this cold front, it would be a good idea to make sure your exposed pipes are wrapped, to prevent any issues with busted pipes. Just a heads up.
