Twelve East Texas women honored during ‘Stars over Longview’

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Stars were shining brightly Thursday afternoon in Longview, as Longview Regional Medical Center’s Women’s Advisory Council hosted its 19th annual Stars Over Longview event.

Twelve East Texas women were chosen for their dedication and commitment to various community endeavors, according to organizers of the yearly event. The 2019 keynote speaker was Caitlin Crosby, an actress, singer, songwriter and entrepreneur who started The Giving Keys, a jewelry company that gives job opportunities to those affected by homelessness.

“We always try to find a keynote speaker who compliments the stars who are making a difference in our community," said Libby Bryson, marketing director at Longview Regional Medical Center. "So, this year, I feel like we’ve done just that with having Caitlin Crosby come on as our keynote speaker because of her message with the Giving Keys. And so that compliments the hard work and philanthropic endeavors that these women in the community are doing.”
