TRAFFIC ALERT: Crews responding to wreck involving 18-wheeler on U.S. 69 in Bullard

BULLARD, TX (KLTV) - UPDATE: Highway 69 is back to normal after a wreck involving an 18-wheeler closed both southbound lanes Monday.

According to Bullard Police, a Ford Escape and an 18-wheeler collided with each other.

They said the driver of the Escape was taken to the hospital.

Police also said the driver of the 18-wheeler was cited for an illegal turn which they said led to the accident.

The highway was shutdown as crews cleaned up a leak from the 18-wheeler.

PREVIOUS STORY: Emergency crews are responding to a wreck involving an 18-wheeler in Bullard.

The crash is on U.S. 69, just south of FM 344.

A witness said the crashed involved an 18-wheeler and another vehicle. They reported one person was on the ground receiving medical attention.

Southbound lanes on U.S. 69 are blocked and traffic is being diverted into the turn lane, according to witnesses.
