Tyler man receives life sentence after violating parole by robbing bank
Landon Riley Womack was given a life sentence after violating parole by robbing a bank.

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A Tyler man was sentenced to life in prison after violating terms of his probation by committing a bank robbery, officials say.

Landon Riley Womack of Tyler was sentenced to life in prison for bank robbery Thursday in Judge Christi Kennedy’s court.

Womack was arrested in October 2014, accused of robbing an Austin Bank location on S. Beckham in Tyler. He was apprehended and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He was given a sentence of 10 years probation for this robbery.

Womack was then accused of a bank robbery that occurred in South Texas while he was on probation, officials say.

He remains in the Smith County Jail.
