Longview man dies after being shot on front porch, police investigating

The Longview Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred around 12:45 a.m. on the morning of September 29, 2018 in the 1100 block of Clover Ln. An individual called 911 and reported that a man had been shot on his front porch and was bleeding. Officers arrived at the residence of Henry England Williams 32 years old who was sitting in a chair on his front porch. Williams was transported to a local hospital where he died around 3:30 a.m. from injuries he sustained from being shot.

This is an ongoing investigation. Officers and Detectives are still on scene and working with the district attorney’s office in identifying the person responsible.
